This program prepares students for the General Communications Technician - Level 1 (GCT1) certification by ETA International. Following official industry standards and DHS guidelines, the curriculum covers 17 modules of foundational technical knowledge. You will learn essential electronics theory, including Ohm’s Law and decibel calculations, alongside practical skills in RF fundamentals, antenna systems, and fiber optics. The course also addresses critical workplace safety protocols like Lock Out / Tag Out and proper tool usage. By the end of these modules, you will understand radio propagation, data networks, and the operation of professional test equipment such as communication service monitors and spectrum analyzers, ensuring you are ready for the GTC1 exam.
